The capacity of BMW Vario Panniers for GS 1200

With their variable volume, the BMW 1200 GS Vario panniers offer two capacities per pannier, namely:

• Right Vario pannier: from 20L to 29L
• Left Vario pannier: from 30L to 39L

The left Vario pannier is capable of containing a full-face helmet when unfolded. This is not the case for the right due to the exhaust.

The maximum load of each pannier is 10 kg.

Installing the BMW GS 1200 Vario Panniers

Installing these Vario panniers on your BMW motorcycle is very simple and quick, thanks to a system of hooks at the back that close onto the Vario pannier mounts, engaged by the lock. If you do not have the Vario pannier mounts, for example on your Adventure motorcycle, it will be necessary to change your Alu mounts for Vario mounts, in which case, we recommend selecting our specially designed pack.
