The smartphone support BMW ConnectedRide Cradle is a holder that allows you to use your smartphone on your BMW motorcycle, especially as a GPS.

By using the BMW Motorrad Connected application (version 4.0 minimum), you can display vehicle data while riding, such as: lean angle, acceleration, and deceleration. The connection and pairing are done only once, at the first start-up.

If your motorcycle is equipped with a multi-controller and the special equipment "Pro on-board computer", other functionalities are usable.

Connecting your phone via Bluetooth (Bluetooth Low Energy version 4.2 minimum) allows you to use the app with the same controls as for the GPS Navigator VI.

Once installed on the holder, your phone is charged, either by induction (according to the Qi standard, 7.5W max.), or by USB-C port (7.5W, 1.5A for 5V). An LED indicator shows the charging status, this indicator can be turned off.

Compatibility of the BMW ConnectedRide Cradle phone holder:

The holder can, for compatible motorcycles, be locked for added security.

The Connected Ride Cradle BMW is compatible with older motorcycle models. It adapts to all models that have GPS preparation installed. Models equipped with a multi-controller have a possibility of retrofitting for GPS preparation via the BMW Motorrad workshop system (except for BMW R1200RT, R1250RT, and K1600 models).

The Cradle cannot be mounted on the 4-button GPS holder.

It is compatible with smartphones within the dimensions: minimum 130.1 x 65.5 x 6.9 mm; maximum 162.5 x 78.1 x 8.8 mm. The side holders are individually adjustable to best fit your smartphone. It may be necessary to remove your smartphone protective case if it interferes, especially for induction charging or to have an optimal and secure position.

Note, iPhone: the Pro Max models may not recharge by induction with this holder, following Apple updates. The ConnectedRide Cradle remains usable, but may not be able to charge your phone. The issue was notably encountered with the iPhones 12 Pro Max and 13 Pro Max.

The holder has a total weight of 204 g, and its dimensions are: L: 94.8–111.85 mm x W: 144.07–180.47 mm x H: 41.02 mm. It does not hinder your driving or handling of the vehicle.

The smartphone holder for motorcycles ConnectedRide Cradle BMW is protected from ambient conditions and weather according to the IP65 standard, meaning it can resist dust and water. In case of bad weather, make sure that your smartphone is also resistant to these elements.

Being intended for use with a smartphone, the holder of course protects your phone from vibrations of the motorcycle.

Note: for its use, the dial must be completely loosened during installation and uninstallation of the phone. Being a small part, improper handling can lead to premature wear of the product.
